MannaBooks

Currencies and exchange rates

Your books are kept in one base currency, set when the workspace was created (usually KES). It can't be changed or switched off.

Other currencies

USD is switched on, and EUR, GBP, UGX, TZS and RWF are ready to switch on. Add currency for any other. Switch off currencies you don't use so they don't clutter lists.

Exchange rates

A rate says how much one unit of a currency is worth in the base currency on a date, for example 1 USD = 129.50 KES. Record a rate whenever you need one, typically the Central Bank of Kenya rate for the day.

When a document in a foreign currency is posted, MannaBooks uses the latest rate on or before its date. If there is none, it asks you to record one first.
