Work reports
Managers and supervisors can ask the people below them for a report (weekly sales and visits, a monthly site report, a daily cash summary) once or on a schedule. These are work reports, separate from the financial reports.
Asking for a report
- Open People > Work reports and choose Ask for a report.
- Give it a title and say what to include. You can attach a template (a Word or Excel form) for people to fill in.
- Choose who: everyone who reports to you (set by Reports to on employee records, at any depth), a department you head, or particular people.
- Choose how often (once, every working day, every week, every month) and the first due date, and how many days before to remind them.
You can ask only people below you in the reporting line. HR managers and owners can ask anyone.
What happens next
- Everyone asked gets an email, and the report appears under My reports.
- They get a reminder before it is due.
- When the due date passes, reports not in are marked Overdue and you get an email. For recurring requests, the next round opens.
- When a report comes in, you get an email. Open it under To review, then Accept it or Send back with what needs to change.
Close a request to stop further rounds.
Submitting your report
Open Work reports > My reports, choose the report, and write it, attach a file (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or a photo, up to 10 MB), or both. Then Submit report. It works on a phone too. If it is sent back, the reason is shown at the top; change it and submit again.
