MannaBooks

Stock takes

A stock take is a physical count. Do one at least every month end, or for one category at a time.

  1. Inventory > Stock takes > Start a count: choose the warehouse and, if you like, one category.
  2. MannaBooks lists each product with what the books say. Print count sheet for the people counting.
  3. Enter what was counted. Save counts as you go; leave a product blank if it wasn't counted.
  4. Post: each counted product moves to the counted quantity. Shortages and extras are valued at average cost and posted to Stock adjustments and losses.

Count when the shop is closed, or post quickly: the difference is worked out against the books when the count started.
