Inventory
MannaBooks keeps stock for products with Track stock ticked: how many are in each warehouse and what they cost on average.
Getting started
- On each product you keep in stock, tick Track stock and set Warn when stock falls to.
- Inventory > Stock > Enter opening stock: what you have now and what it cost you. It is posted against Opening balance equity.
- Add more warehouses if you keep stock in more than one place. Link a warehouse to a branch so that branch's sales take stock from it.
How stock moves
- In: goods received, bills for stock bought without a delivery, customer returns on credit notes, transfers in, production.
- Out: invoices, cash sales and the till, transfers out, components used in production.
- MannaBooks won't let stock go below zero. Receive or adjust it first.
Each sale records its cost of goods sold at the average cost, so your profit and loss shows real margins.
Stock screens
- Stock: on hand by warehouse, value, and Low when at or below the warning level. Export to Excel.
- Click a product for its stock card: every movement with its document.
- Transfers: move stock between warehouses.
- Adjustments: damaged, expired, lost or found stock. The value goes to Stock adjustments and losses.
