Loyalty
Reward customers who come back. They earn points on what they spend and use them as a discount at the till.
Setting it up
Open Sales > Loyalty > Settings and tiers:
- Spent for 1 point: e.g. KES 100 before VAT earns 1 point.
- 1 point is worth: e.g. KES 1 off a later sale.
- Least points to redeem and the most of a sale points can pay for.
- Points expire after a number of months (0: never). The oldest points are used first.
- Tiers such as Silver and Gold, reached by points earned in the last 12 months, earn faster (e.g. 1.5x).
Switch the programme on and save.
Members
Enrol a customer under Sales > Loyalty. They get a card number (LC-000001), or you can scan a printed card. At the till, find them by phone or card number.
Earning and redeeming
- Points are earned on cash sales, and on invoices if you allow it, on the amount before VAT.
- At the till, enter the points to use; they come off the sale as a discount, shown on the receipt and sent to KRA eTIMS as a line discount.
- Voiding a sale returns the points it used and takes back the points it earned.
Managers can adjust points on a member (a welcome bonus, a correction) with a reason. Every movement is listed on the member's page.
